Anaesthesia and Surgical Procedures

What Care Will My Pet Receive?

Our veterinary surgeon, David, can perform all routine surgery here at the practice and is also experienced in many orthopaedic operations.

From the point of admission until it is time for your pet to go home, David and our team of qualified and dedicated veterinary nurses will closely monitor and take care of your pet throughout their hospitalisation.

On site we regularly use Sevoflurane gaseous anaesthesia. This is a state of the art anaesthetic used in human medicine for geriatric patients. This is the safest anaesthesia available in animal and human medicine.

We treat all our patients as though they were our own pets and you can rest assured that they will always have company and comfort during their stay with us.

Orthopaedic Procedures

We regularly carry out orthopaedic procedures such as cruciate ligament repair, patella surgery and fracture repairs.
David has a keen interest in orthopaedics and we are always more that happy to see new cases.

We can also provide stem cell treatments to patients who are suffering from osteoarthritis. This involves taking a small fat sample from the patient, which is then delivered to the Veterinary Tissue Bank, where it is cultured into stem cells. These are then injected into the affected joints.

For any more information on any aspect of orthopaedic work then please feel free to contact the surgery.
