Facilities
Reception
At the surgery we have a very open plan, welcoming reception area where staff are on hand to check you and your pets in for appointments upon arrival.
We have a very spacious and bright waiting area with plenty of room for you and your pets to wait.
There is a coffee machine and a selection of different coffees available in the waiting area that you are more than welcome to help yourself to. Or if you need assistance one of the staff members will be more than happy to make one for you.

In-House Laboratory
On site we have our very own laboratory where we can run different diagnostic tests on the premises.
In the lab we have a haematology machine, a biochemistry machine, centrifuge and microscope to allow us to examine blood samples, urine samples and skin scrapes and provide you with our findings the same day.
The beauty of having a lab on site is so that we do not have to send all of our samples to be reviewed externally and you will receive results the same day. In some cases we are able to run the blood samples while you wait.
Preparation Room
Behind the scenes at the surgery we have a very spacious prep-room. Within this room we have plenty of space to prepare the animals for their upcoming procedures.
This room leads directly to both of our operating theatres as well as our x-ray suite, kennel room and cattery room.
Situated within the room is a digital scrub sink, located just outside the orthopaedic operating theatre, and our dental equipment and tub sink for any dental procedures.

X-Ray Suite
On site we have a digital x-ray suite.
Situated in a bespoke, lead lined room the digital x-ray machine can be used to process an image within minutes.
Having the ability to process x-rays on site, quickly and efficiently, can put everyone’s mind at rest knowing that necessary radiographs can be obtained within such a short period of time.
The ability to process x-rays digitally is very helpful in such situations as emergencies or if we need to acquire any images before performing surgery. This is a much more time efficient method than having to wait for film to develop.
Orthopaedic Operating Theatre
This is our fully equipped general operating theatre, designed to
support a wide range of surgical procedures in a safe, sterile, and
spacious environment. The suite provides an ideal setting for both
routine and complex surgeries.
The theatre features a state-of-the-art hydraulic operating table,
advanced anaesthetic equipment, and high-intensity LED surgical lighting
mounted overhead to ensure optimal visibility during procedures. The
generous floor space allows our veterinary surgeons and nursing team to
work efficiently and comfortably, with all essential equipment close at
hand.

Consultation Rooms
At the surgery we have two fully equipped consultation rooms. The main consultation room is occupied by our vet David and will be the room you and your pet are most likely to visit when at the surgery.
The second is used by our Registered Veterinary Nurse Carly. She carries out all of her nurse consultations here. For more information on nurse consultations please look at the dedicated page on our website.
Cattery
Located separately from our dog kennels we have a bespoke cattery where cats, rabbits and other small pets can recover from any procedures they have had with us at the surgery. It includes six specially designed kennels and they are all located in a quiet area of the practice in their own room to ensure that all inpatients have a comfortable and stress free stay.

Kennels
On site we have bespoke kennels to house our inpatients. There are a variety of different sized kennels to fit different sized dogs. We have a custom built walk in kennel, ideal for some of our larger customers. There is a medium sized kennel located in the room that is portable, so in the event that we need to have a kennel placed elsewhere this comes in very handy.
Downstairs in the building we have a custom made isolation unit. The isolation unit has access to the back entrance of the building which is perfect for keeping any patients who are severely ill or contagious separate from the inpatients in the kennel room and cattery upstairs.
